Install Numix Theme and Icons in Ubuntu
Run the following commands to install Numix theme in Ubuntu and it’s derivatives. Following commands is also applicable for the other debian based derivatives.
sudo apt install numix-gtk-theme sudo apt install numix-icon-theme sudo apt install numix-icon-theme-circle sudo apt install numix-icon-theme-square
Install Numix Theme and Icons in Ubuntu [2024]
Numix theme suit comes with Distro Packages and Nightly Packages.
Run the following commands to install Numix theme and icons in Ubuntu using official Numix PPA:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:numix/ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install numix-gtk-theme sudo apt-get install numix-icon-theme sudo apt install numix-icon-theme-circle sudo apt install numix-icon-theme-square
Install Numix Theme and Icons in Fedora:
sudo dnf install numix-gtk-theme sudo dnf install numix-icon-theme sudo dnf install numix-icon-theme-circle sudo dnf install numix-icon-theme-square
Install Numix Theme and Icons in Gentoo Linux:
Run the following command to install Numx Them on Gentoo Linux.
sudo emerge -a numix-icon-theme-circle
Install Numix Theme Manually on Linux Operating systems.
Just in case if you want to install Numix thme manually then go through the following steps. This method is applicable for most of the Linux operating systems.
Step – 1:
Download the release packages of Numix theme from the following official link:
Step – 2:
Extract to “/usr/share/themes” or “~/.themes”. For Icon, you need to extract here “/use/share/icons“
Step 3:
Use the GNOME Tweak Tool for Ubuntu to make the change.
